As Rio de Janeiro celebrates the 450th anniversary of the city’s founding, REDE ESCOLA RIO — an interdisciplinary project that involves students and teachers in the municipal public school system to improve learning outcomes — is producing five short films about Rio de Janeiro, based on the book series As Cores do Rio. In this 1st Edition, five schools developed projects exploring the relationship between Rio’s green and urban spaces, as the city is surrounded by the largest urban forest in the world.
