SYNOPSIS

In this book, Rio de Janeiro’s history is told from the perspective of how the management of its water shaped the development of the city. Spanning from the arrival of the Portuguese Caravels to the present day, the book highlights future implications of current water usage patterns, and calls for collective support to preserve local resources. The booklet Guia Água – Uso responsável accompanies the book. The book offers text in both Portuguese and English.
